Mr Velleco explained how the liberals appear to change their minds in public about the Second Amendment. It seems Nancy Pelosi (yes, that Nancy who is the house madam) wrote a bill to overturn Washington D.C.’s ban on semi-automatic handguns and had all Democrats running for re-election vote for it! This allowed all the representatives that are running this fall to say they changed, voted for gun rights, and now support the Second Amendment.
Even some pro-gun Democrats and RINOs scratched their heads on this one. What everyone did not know was that Pelosi had a secret deal worked out with Harry Reid, himself a big-time gun banner. Harry just made sure the bill never came to a vote on the Senate floor. See, if it did get placed on the Senate floor, it would have passed!
Patrick Walker, of the National Muzzle loading Rifle Association, commented that Congress operates against the Second Amendment, regardless of what the people of the United States want. (Remember that, depending on the poll, 70% to 85% of all Americans support the Second Amendment as an individual right, which was also re-confirmed by the Heller decision by the U.S. Supreme Court.)
