The American Communist Lawyers Union is already excitingly peeing in their pants with glee (or should I say “with gayness”) in anticipation of Obama’s closing down of Gitmo.
Guantanamo Bay currently holds those enemy combatants that were captured on the battlefield killing Americans and they are the worst of the worst. Every one of them would cut an American’s throat (even a liberal’s or ACLU member’s) without as much as batting an eye. They would pee on the graves of any American soldier if allowed into Arlington.
They deserve to be held and interrogated as long as the war on terrorism continues. In fact, since they were wearing no military uniform, they do not even fall under the Geneva Convention rules. These people do not deserve the Geneva Convention rules of war, let alone the rights of habeas corpus and the Miranda ruling that citizens of United States enjoy. Obama will be sure to give these murderers every entitlement of US citizenship. I would not put it past the new administration to allow just that in order to gain a few more votes from Radical Islamic Fascists.
Chris Anders of the ACLU writes: “Our task now is to do everything we can to maintain momentum for a January 20th executive order. Immediately closing Guantánamo and shutting down the military commissions can be a powerful first step on the long road to a full restoration of our fundamental freedoms.”
Is America ready for the “full restoration” of “fundamental freedoms” for terrorists?
Actually, the Second Amendment guards against that very event if it happens inside the United States.
