Justice David Souter Will Be Replaced By A Far-left Liberal

I had predicted that President Obama would be replacing a judge or two on the Supremes, but I have been totally blindsided by Justice David Souter announcing his retirement.  Justices usually stay on the bench for life and only death or a severe case of Alzheimer’s would unseat them.  In my humble observances there may be a couple of early on-set liberal victims still on the bench, but that is just my own supposition.

I had fully expected Ruth “Darth Vader” Ginsburg to retire, even before she announced the cancer.  I’m sure our collective prayers for her health have kept her in good shape, so she should be around for more years.

If Obama replaced Ginsburg, he would be hard strapped to find a more liberal justice, so the court would not be substantially changed.

This is not so with Souter.

Yes, this is the same Justice Souter that voted the government has the right to steal your property and give it to developers who make a bundle off your property just so the local government can collect more money.  Some people tried to get his house taken away to build a “Freedom Hotel” on his land and even had the funds ready to fund the project.  Unfortunately the town opted to protect their favorite son and passed on the extra addition to their coffers.

Justice Souter is a liberal, despite being appointed by George H. W. Bush.  I cannot recall a court case that he was on the conservative side of a decision, but I would not be surprised if he did lean right once in a long while.

This means that Obama will move the court a little to the left when he replaces Souter with a liberal as far left as Ginsburg.  Hang on to your seats!

I pray that Ginsburg hangs in there until we get a non-liberal of a real conservative as President, or else we will get a Ginsburg replacement that is just a far-left but a lot younger.  Join me in that prayer to protect our Constitutional God-given Rights.
