The Democrats picked Harry Reid to deliver a message to America. “It’s better to have a product based on quality and thoughtfulness rather than try to jam something through.”
Are the libs wising up to American public opinion which showed 53% against the health-care bill? Or, is there something sinister lurking here?
It looks like there are not 60 votes to ram this through. Most, but not all of the Republicans are against it and quite a few Blue Dogs are joining them, as evidenced by the Democrat Party’s television advertisements playing in Blue Dog territories.
On the other side of the Capitol, House Madam Nancy Pelosi said “I’m not afraid of August. It’s a month. What I am interested in is the sooner the better to pass health care for the American people.” So Pelosi is still aiming to ram this legislation down our throats much further than you doctor does with that tongue depressor.
It is evident that the Democrats want to pass this legislation before all the nasty details make the news. With the size of this bill, no single senator or representative has read the entire bill. There is even a section that requires you at attend discussions with a heath-care representative to discuss the quality of your life in old age. They will want you to check out early (and also save them a bunch of money) so you don’t have to suffer towards the end.
The Democrats are even preventing the public from finding out the truth!
Do you remember when Madam Pelosi shut off the lights and the TV cameras when the Republicans were presenting their views in the House? How about that 3AM addition to a piece of legislation due for a vote in the morning?
Do you think Pelosi and Reid will call emergency sessions once the Republicans return home? They could then have a smaller quorum and be able to pass the bills with no problem? I would not put it past them.
The Obama administration claims this may “ruin” his presidency if this Marxist plan does not pass. Let’s hope his presidency is ruined. If not, all of us taxpayers will need a proctologist and a lot of us will not get treated when the rationing kicks in.
