Austria has a rich musical tradition. Originally developed as a way to communicate in the Alps Mountains, yodeling became an art form over hundreds of years.
All that tradition is in danger of being lost just because of some immigrants that refuse to assimilate into their host country. Read more »
I wanted to start off the new year right just like those Texans like to do: get a large caliber handgun and fire it in celebration of the new year, but that idea was nixed as I live in the oppressive fiefdom of California. As I was going to try and take my trumpet outside and blare out a few minutes of celebratory notes, I was informed that I could not play the trumpet past 10 PM due to sound pollution regulations. Liberal Fair wishes everyone (conservatives and liberals alike) a very Merry and Blessed Christmas!
I have in front of me a brightly-burning Yule log. I am watching a fireplace fire on TV-36 here in the San Francisco Bay area in California.
Do you think virtual fireplaces are a strange invention? I mean, they give out no heat and the snaps and crackles of water vapor exploding from the logs seem artificial. Read more »
I remember by school years quite well. I remember Mrs. Love, an art teacher that never gave up on me even though my stick figures were not recognizable as, well, stick figures. I remember detention hall for shooting spitballs.

To put it mildly, I abhor Apple computers. Imagine being limited to a single button on a mouse! Imagine seeing your cursor turn into that silly clock and causing one to become a curser.
I liken myself to PC, who pushes the snowman’s head onto that deserving bunny and arranges the Christmas tree lights to say PC RULES. I would have also cooked up some rabbit stew. Read more »

The Marxists have taken over Jolly ol’ England. The queen will give her traditional Christmas address. No Marxism here, but what follows her speech a few hours later is an “Alternative Christmas Speech” by none other than Iranian President Ahmadinejad (I’m-a-dinner-plate).
This is the near equivalent of Jeffrey Dahmer picking the menu for a Whitehouse reception for a visiting dignitary, but worse! Read more »
Now it is time for some history (which the schools of today also like to ignore or twist). Back in the 1960′s, the Marxist groups started the Earth Day celebrations to save the planet. The real goal was to prevent democracies from existing by limiting access to all forms of energy. Read more »
