This morning I noticed that Google had one of their doodles in place of their normal Google logo. It looks like a takeoff on the LOVE sculpture by Robert Indiana.
I was working at the Post Office (no, I have not yet gone postal all the years since) and was in the Philly Post Office Band.
A LOVE stamp showing the sculpture was unveiled in 1973 and the Philly Post Office Band played for the dedication.
I was able to purchase a first day cover and get it signed by the artist.
WOW! The postage for a letter was just 8-cents back then!
I wish everyone a great Valentine’s Day.
God bless.

Republican Representative Christopher Lee is now the World Record holder of “The Quickest Congressional Resignation” with a time clocked at 3 hours.
Maureen O’Connor of the Gawker gossip web site exposed Chris’s naked chest picture by publishing it for the world to see. Just three hours later, Representative Lee held a press conference and resigned “effective immediately.”

There is no excuse for infidelity or in this case even an appearance of infidelity, among our elected officials. Since they are tasked at representing the people, they must be held to a higher standard.
When they break a trust, they must be replaced as the trust is gone. Read more »

Coming soon to America?
If the unemployment picture does not improve immediately, we may see this happening in the United States.
There are hundreds of thousands and maybe millions of people who are going to be losing unemployment benefits.
The 99-week maximum of unemployment and extensions is gone. Read more »
Here is just one example of what happens without a God-based upbringing.
Edward Pulhar Sr. (age 61) and his son, Edward Jr. cut in line at a Walmart store. An off-duty officer, who was in line, politely asked them to go to the end of the line and wait their turn. Read more »
The ACLU has just struck another blow, one minor cut in the death of 10,000 cuts. They have taken down another school that used to help instill honesty, integrity, and adherence to the words of the Bible in it’s students. They just wore down the school’s finances and then persuaded a few liberal robes to toss out our rights to freedom of religion. The unjust robes ruled for freedom from religion instead. Read more »
Nikita Khrushchev, a leader of the Soviet Union once stated “We shall destroy you from within!” He knew exactly what he was talking about as he had the unwitting and also deliberate support of the liberal segments of the United States citizenship. The ACLU was founded by members of the Communist Party for that purpose. Read more »

We elected officers and representatives and I remember being in a dorm room with a glass and an ear to the wall of an adjoining opponents room trying to hear their strategy in a late-night planning session. I believe we would up using the microphone and amplifier from a cheap tape recorder to increase our ability to overhear their plans.
Back at home, we stuffed envelopes and opened envelopes with contest entries. Read more »

I just received a couple of emails from classmates.com. Both emails were from girl friends. Now I guess you would call them women friends, or for those PC liberals out there person friends. Not dating relationship type of friends, but all of us – yes there were others in this sticky (I’ll explain that later) group – did use to go out together, have twister parties, picnics and other fun stuff.
It is amazing what memories come up from your old high school days. Read more »

And Whoever Taught This, Should Be Kicked In The A–
Imagine your baby being born and then dying after doctors tried for twenty minutes to keep your child alive. You even were able to hold your baby after a nurse cleaned him up and dressed him in a cap and blanket. Read more »

A group of women are up in arms, or should I say, up in shirts. Yes, the breast-feeding cult is on the move again, this time to stick it in your face, so to speak.
A while ago, Facebook removed a picture of a mom breast feeding her kid. Heather Farley, of Palo Alto, CA says she just wants to share pictures of her kid with other parents, and says “it’s almost hard to get a picture of me not nursing.” She would have had to make that comment breast-in-cheek, as there are plenty of times that you could take a picture of a 9-month old when they are not eating or sleeping. Besides, you can’t see the child’s face; just the back of its head and just about all kids look the same in that view. Read more »
