Glock pistols – the firearm of choice

I like my Glocks.  So do a lot of other people.

I would venture to say that a lot of our nation’s police departments use a 9mm Glock.

A wide receiver, Plaxico Burress has played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants football teams.  He loves his Glock, although he should have taken a safety course on how to carry one and also get a CCW license.

Even Representative Gabrielle Giffords who survived an assassination attempt a week ago was quoted as saying “I have a Glock 9mm, and I’m a pretty good shot.” Read more »

Obama Couldn’t Kill the Right to Keep and Bear Arms in Arizona Part – 2

What did the police and secret service do with all these firearms outside of the event?  Absolutely nothing that was visible.  The police said everyone was being orderly and obeying the law. Read more »

Obama Couldn’t Kill the Right to Keep and Bear Arms in Arizona – Part 1

Arizona is an Open Carry state.  In other words, as long as your gun (pistol, revolver or rifle) is visible you can exercise your Second Amendment Rights in public.  If you wish to discretely carry (hidden from view) a firearm, you still need a CCW license. Read more »

Independence Day Celebration – Part 2

What do I do to celebrate?

Explosives and real rockets are out.  Even though I was shooting BIG weapons since I was a toddler (click here to see the proof of me at the controls of a BIG gun on a battleship), I have a supply problem with getting RPG’s and other HE (high explosive) rounds; those liberal reports that Mexican drug criminals get their weapons from gun shows is just not true!  I cannot even get magazines with more than 10 rounds here in California, let alone grenades. Independence Day Celebration – Part 1

I was walking the whole week and wondering what to do for the Independence Day celebration that would be meaningful.  I was thinking of going into a store and taking a whole shelf of tea and throwing it into the Guadalupe River and running, but I have a feeling that the San Jose Police and the Sunnyvale police would not immediately understand the significance of my First Amendment action.  Anyway there was a TEA Party in San Jose on Sunday, the 5th. Be Vigilant

We already “register” our firearms in California and all handguns are “registered” in the United States due to the BATFE requirements of filling out paperwork that supposedly is not to be saved.  We know it is because as soon as a gun is used in a crime and recovered, the police know exactly where to go to find the last legal owner. California Mountain Lion Hunt

You may have remembered a handout that was originally posted on the GS2AC web site about Open Space District suggestions on what to do if you encounter a mountain lion in California and also what they recommend you to do if you are attacked.  Of course they said “Weapons: Weapons of any kind are prohibited on preserves.”  I sent it along to a great radio host, Brian Sussman, and he just had a ball with it.  Click here to hear what Brian and Melanie Morgan had to say.

You may wonder about the title of this entry.  I am a volunteer Hunter Safety Instructor and am well aware of the California laws that prohibit killing or even injuring a California Mountain Lion.  The title is not recommending what to do to the beast, but rather what they can do to us. Will Kirsten Cave?

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Democrat and a gun-toting mamma approved by the NRA is Hillary Clinton’s replacement for the Senate.  I had remarked in a earlier blog entry that this seemed like a great thing for gun rights.  I did have some reserves and now I am seeing the possible tragedy from the gun owner point of view. Saint Gabriel Possenti Should Be The Patron Saint Of Handgunners

I am often told that politics and religion do not mix and there is a separation between church and state.  I have to attempt to re-educate and deprogram these people by telling them that our country was founded upon the teachings of Jesus, our Savior and the Son of God.  Just flip through the Federalist papers and you will see The Lord’s name everywhere.
