The flower power children in the 1960′s were part of the “Peace, not War” movement sponsored by the Communist Party USA and the Communist Party in the USSR (now Russia). Out of this sprung the idea that it was easier to destroy the United States from within rather then through war, as the United States military always wins the wars. (Lyndon Johnson set us on a path to defeat with limiting the Vietnam war rather than just going in, actually winning the war victoriously, freeing the people from Communism and then set up them for self sufficiency.) The Copenhagen Global Warming summit should have been held in Amsterdam. Amsterdam was warmer and the attendees could have smoked their pot, hash and whatever else they were smoking legally.
