Nanny Government May Ban Salt

The New Your Assembly has a bill that bans the use of salt in all restaurants.

A10129 was introduced on March 5th.

“PROHIBITION ON SALT; RESTAURANTS. 1. NO OWNER OR OPERATOR OF A RESTAURANT IN THIS STATE SHALL USE SALT IN ANY FORM IN THE PREPARATION OF ANY FOOD  FOR  CONSUMPTION  BY  CUSTOMERS  OF  SUCH  RESTAURANT INCLUDING  FOOD  PREPARED TO BE CONSUMED ON THE PREMISES OF SUCH RESTAURANT OR OFF OF SUCH PREMISES.”

If this passes, we will see the ratings of its restaurants plummet quicker that Obama’s popularity in the last year.

It will be hard to find even a one-star eatery, let alone one with 5 stars.

Go to Philadelphia to eat for now.  At le3ast their legislators are not foolish enough to mess with their Philly Cheesesteaks.

Air Force One Photo Op

The Obama administration spent $328,835 on pictures of Air Force One and two fighter jets flying low over the roofs of New York City.  Initially, the administration said the pictures would be used for visiting guests and signed by the president.  Today, the New York Post reported:

“We have no plans to release them,” an aide to President Obama told The Post, refusing to comment further.

The filming scared the pants off a few thousand people in NYC since NYC officials failed to notify the public after being notified by the Obama Administration.

With the cuts the administration has done with the military so far and more to come, spending about a third of a million dollars for a photo op seems a waste of our taxes.

Since the public has paid for this, I think we should be able to see them.

Do you notice the total silence of environmental groups?  I would think they would be up in arms (figuratively, since most of these liberals are anti-gun) over the greenhouse gasses released and also the use of jet fuel which is made from that “blood for oil” petroleum that Bush went to war to obtain.

Don’t Try This At Home – Or In New York – Part 1

John, a friend of mine, was saying the other day:

‘I am not sure I like the idea of Plaxico Burress becoming the “poster child” for gun rights because what he did was very irresponsible. He should have had the gun in a holster to be safe. But he is getting the shaft and he is a well known celebrity with a lot of people who maybe are not one side or the other on gun rights.’ Read more »
